Raising the bar in flooring

CSS are strong advocates for raised rather than solid floors and recent project for Adelaide City Council supports our position.

We conducted an audit on the council’s main computer room at Eagle Chambers to discover that the height of the floor didn’t allow for efficient air flow distribution.

Our recommendation was to lift the floor by 150mm. We also recommended the work be undertaken during business hours and assured them it could be done without losing any critical services.

Our innovative approach included the construction of a specially designed lifting tool that suspended 5-6 racks, weighing up to 1000kg, in the air while the floor was raised underneath.
